About Us
With over 10 years combined experience in spaceflight hardware analysis and qualification, at Gravissist, we specialize in structural analysis, loads, and dynamics for aerospace systems.
Our team has delivered analysis, test correlation, and design support on complex programs where precision, reliability, and scalability are non-negotiable.
We bring a proven track record in:
Loads & Dynamics – vehicle-level FEMs, flow down loads development, modal analysis, and dynamic test correlation.
Structural Analysis – subsystem qualification, stress analysis, and verification workflows.
Mechanical Design Leadership – integration with design teams, manufacturing, and lifecycle support.
Workflow Automation – scalable processes/tools that reduce bottlenecks and improve efficiency.
Our work product is consistent and compliant with industry standards such as: NASA-STD-5001, 5002, 5019, 5020. SSP 30559. JSC 65828 &65829.
MIL-STD-810 and SMC-S-016.
Our Portfolio
-
Mass Properties Envelope
We were given a spacecraft with a loose architecture and the goal was to establish bounding mass properties to set program requirements for all teams.
Using a combination of frequency response analysis, Python with Nastran and statistical methods, we were able to identify patterns for stable mass distributions of payload to bound expected interface loads at critical locations. -
Hardware Re-Certification - Spacecraft Primary Structure
A customer prompted for analysis to determine if their existing design and manufactured primary structure may be used for another vehicle/mission.
Our team performed dynamic loads development and stress analysis to create mass and stiffness requirements for the vehicle architecture and internal structure. These new requirements were validated against existing stress analysis reports to certify the structure for re-use. -
Launch Vehicle Payload Loads Databooks
We have managed over ten loads databook iterations with our clients for flow down load derivation and reporting for all conops (ground through flight and on-orbit).
Our team specializes in reduced FEM development (coarsened stick model & Hurty Craig Bampton reductions), vibration response analysis with notching according to NAS RP 1403, output request pre-processing such as cutloads, netcg, response PSD/FRF tracking along with air tight documentation and model history using GIT with a live SQL database. -
Structural Analysis Document Review and Comparison Studies
Paperwork for existing COTS hardware or recently acquired flight hardware can be daunting.
Our team has performed several document reviews for establishing hardware limits for future tracking with updated loads or conops. We have done everything considering loads and conops through to fatigue and damage assessments and we maintain an efficient documentation trail for monitoring hardware structural health through our loads data management system.
